If the dial/knob is damaged, the head unit circuit board likely needs to be replaced. There is a dowel that the dial/knob attaches to, which is soldered onto the head unit circuit board, so there’s no way to simply replace the dowel. Once the head unit circuit board is replaced, you can re-use the existing dial/knob and attach it to the new dowel on the head unit circuit board.
